Lively Racing Journal

Editorial policy

Lively Racing Journal aims to make motor racing understandable without overstating what an article can establish. We write with care, distinguish explanation from opinion and make changes when a clear error is identified.

Accuracy and context

Writers should check factual claims against dependable material and provide enough context for readers to understand what a detail does and does not show. Where the record is uncertain or accounts differ, we should say so rather than present one version as settled. We avoid unsupported predictions and make clear when a point is interpretation.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and clarity. A commercial relationship does not buy a favourable conclusion or control over independent editorial coverage. We do not present opinion as fact or imply that a general explanation is a substitute for specialist technical advice.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review correction requests, check the relevant passage and amend confirmed errors with wording that makes the change understandable. Questions of interpretation are considered separately from factual corrections.

Partnerships and illustrations

Paid or partner material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Illustrations may be AI-generated; where an image could be mistaken for a documentary photograph or an actual racing scene, it should be identified accordingly.
